About Braj Kishori

Braj Kishori is a humble yet heartfelt initiative by Shri Barsana Dham Gurukulam, rooted in the sacred land of Barsana. It was born from a simple yet powerful idea — that every girl, no matter her background, deserves a chance to learn, grow, and live with dignity.

We provide free education, nutritious meals, cultural values, and life skills to underprivileged girls from nearby villages. But more than that, Braj Kishori is a family — a place where girls are encouraged to dream, to feel safe, and to find their inner strength.

How It All Began

In 2016, we started in a tiny rented room with just a handful of girls. There were no proper classrooms, no big plans — just a sincere desire to help.

Today, over 300 girls walk through our doors every day. They receive:

Free academic and spiritual education

Nutritious mid-day
meals

Uniforms, books, and study materials

Practical life skills and deep-rooted values from Sanatan Dharma

Our current setup is still far from ideal. We're in a crumbling rented building, with 3-4 classes squeezed into single room. But despite the noise and heat, our girls show up every day — eager, focused, and full of hope.

Our Mission

To offer free, value-based, holistic education to girls who would otherwise be left behind — blending studies, sanskar, nourishment, and practical training, so they grow into confident, self-reliant women who live with grace and purpose.

Our Dream

We dream of building a full-fledged Girls' Gurukul campus — the first of its kind — where 1,000 girls from the villages of Braj can study, stay, and shine.
